Intimidating But Motivating

The first week of 3DF was compacted over a Thanksgiving break, meaning I had to dole out time accordingly to take care of my classwork. Truthfully the idea of 3D modeling and rendering was always paired with frustration or the conception that it would take massive amounts of time and effort to begin. Even a few friends of mine who don't go to this campus were pretty stunned to know where my capacities are at within the first days.

All of my anxiety washed away within the first hour of class. Albeit the note take seemed necessary at first it all boiled down to practicing and making mistakes within the interface of Maya itself. So this week I fumbled and eventually created a spark plug model.

I'd say the main issue with this altogether was making sure there were noticable differences from each polygon primitive used. Some were obviously copied for blockout convenence and ease but generally all of these objects undewent individual changes.  Other than that it was working with the helix and its attributes that were the most gratifying.
